Registered Miniature Horse Mare

Lucky Heart’s One for the Road “Missy”

Missy is an experienced driving miniature horse and a fan favorite on the carousel for her petite size and good attitude. She wears costumes and has been one of our lesson ponies for the youngest of children to learn horsemanship. Missy has also done therapy work and will behave even when brought inside.

She is a mini horse, not a pony, and was born in 2002 with the registered name Lucky Heart’s One for the Road, standing at 38” tall. This is tall for a miniature horse, but an excellent size for us as she can carry children up to 50 lbs and pull a cart or sleigh with ease. Did you know that ponies can comfortably pull twice their body weight on flat ground? That means Missy, who weighs around 250 lbs, can easily pull 500 lbs in a well-balanced cart!

Missy traveled around to multiple states with her previous family before ending up at my very first 4-H leader’s barn where I found her almost by mistake and fell in love with her. She is a mini version of a favorite horse of mine, that I rode and competed on in my teens named Kayan. Many who knew her before reported that Missy’s demeanor is night and day different now that she lives with me. She was high-strung, nervous, and a bit naughty until she found her calling with our herd. Missy is ready to bring joy and adventure to a new family. Contact us to find out how to bring Missy or one of our other exceptional ponies to your home.

P.S. We are happy to offer a Christmas Day delivery by Santa and/or Mrs. Clause for a limited number of our ponies for sale in North Idaho and Eastern Washington!
